Brewing liquor treatment
There are three main reasons for treating the Brewing Liquor:
To get the maximum benefit from the materials used, for example, the best possible extract from the malt or the most suitable bittering from the hops.
To get maximum shelf life in bottled beers by the adjustment of pH value, coagulation of undesirable protein matter, or increase in biological stability.
To satisfy the taste of the customers by producing a bitter beer without hardness or a mild Ale which has a certain sweetness.
