Founders KBS flavoured stout

It's all about coffee and chocolate anyway - KBS flavoured stout

KBS flavoured stout

Pekka shared his Founders KBS (Kentucky Breakfast Stout) with me. The Founders Brewing Company classifies this beer as an Imperial Stout. I'm not that sure about that as there are the categories coffee stout and chocolate stout. But anyway. This is about taste, flavor, beer, and so on.

To keep it short: This beer is yummy!

It comes with a nice dark black color. So dark and so black that light doesn't pass through. Is is basically black ink. In order to get most of its flavors the right temperature is needed. Drinking it straight from the fridge won't do. Otherwise the coffee and chocolate flavor won't come to your nose that easily. While the alcohol is present in the flavor it is very well masked in the taste. The texture is nice, while being pretty thick liquorish. Somehow I'm missing a roasted flavor or more coffee.

One of those beers you like to drink more of.
