Nokian Keisari 25 ginger ale can and glass

My First Ginger Ale - Nokian Keisari 25

Keisari 25 Ginger Ale

While we were tasting two beers at Beyondbuckthorns Pekka told me that the Nokian Panimo released a Ginger Ale. The following week I was at an S-Market and came accross it - and of course bought it.

I poured it from a can into a glass and while pouring it already noticed the strong ginger odor. Its foam stayed white and nice on top of the dark brown reddish liquid. I took a first nip and there it was: ginger, actually a lot of ginger. Besides the obvious it was well balanced in terms of CO2. Interesting texture so far. Good mouthfeel. Light sweetness, little caramel, and a light bitter dryness at the end. Even if the alcohol is only at 4.3%, it breaks through from time to time and forms a composition with the ginger flavour. A little more body would have helped the overall impression.

Next time I'll have it with Sushi. More of it please!
