Onnenpekka

Onnenpekka

When we were in Tampere, Finland, we enjoyed an evening at the Teerenpeli Bar / Restaurant. I was having two beers which both were brewed by the Teerenpeli Brewery, a brewery in Lahti. The evening was very amusing where the following beer wasn't at all:

Onnepekka is a larger with a very harsh bitterness. The bitterness is that harsh that it nearly makes it impossible to drink the beer. I can also describe the bitterness as scratchy. The taste therefore is not pure where the smell is it nearly. I was missing the fresh barley characteristics there. CO2 and palatfulness were well balanced. My overall impression is a 2 because the quality of the bitterness destroyed every taste of a larger.

The beer was poured from a keg
