Viva la Estonia - Muddis Golden Ale
Muddis Golden Ale
In January we went to Tallin for a vacation. I brought many beers with me and one after another they will get reviewed. This is the second one I reviewed together with Pekka.
I poured the beer from a bottle into two glasses. If you have read about the Jumina Näkk you might remember our time machine invention. Let's put it this way: We are no Back to the Future Part II, we have more foam than ever and no beer at all.
Its smell is sheer, yeasty, fruity, decent hops. I was looking forward for that one. First nip goes down very well. It is good balanced in terms of CO2. It also comes with a good mouthfullness. As Pekka put it: "there is a lot going on in this beer".
I agree, there is a lot going on. From a technical aspect this beer is brewed very well. From a flavour enthusiasts view there is not enough of different flavours in it. At one point I even thought that it lacks some taste in the middle. It basically comes to the point very fast, loses its point and finds it again at the end.
A decent enough beer to drink it in good company.
The beer was poured from a keg
