Wheat is on the menu again - Nokian Elowehnä
Elowehnä III
As I said before, there are a lot of Nokian Panimo beers on the list, so, the next one is the EloWehnä III. As I'm from Bavaria wheat beers are a little bit of my speciality. I have tasted many of them, not all got a review.
Let's start with the Nokian. Pouring it into a glass from a can. The foam, which is pretty white, stays for a decent amount of time on top of an un-filtrated yellow / orange / golden liquid. From the smell I got the typical wheat beer yeast and of course banana. Who doesn't love banana in a wheat beer? First nip goes down very well. Texture is ok. Mouth-fullness is ok as well, could be a little stronger. The beer is a little too over-carbonated, but only slightly.
It is a good crafted wheat beer, not a typical Bavarian, but still good enough for drinking a second one.
