Marzenfest/Oktoberfest Marzen

In Germany, these special beers were called Marzen [March] for the month in which they were brewed. When brewing resumed again in the fall, the remaining stock of Marzen was brought out for the Oktoberfest. In this way, a single style of beer came to be known by two names.
