Mumme Bier

Mumme Beer startet his career in 1390 in Braunschweig, brewed as a beer, whose alcohol-concentration was between light and very strong. In the 18th century it was deceided to brew it without any alcohol. The first malt beer was born, but with no good results for Braunschweiger Mumme. At the end it was nothing more like a souvenir for Braunschweig. But its back as a beer since 2008 and a highlight at a yearly street-festival in Braunschweig called "Mumme-Meile".
