Heller Than Thou

Bock is a traditional spring beer in Germany. It was first brewed by monks in Einbeck to get them through Lent. The "liquid bread" they brewed, heavy on malt and low on hops, became popular in Bavaria and transformed into many variations, including the light-colored Heller Bock.
